I don't know what that is. It is the liquor to drink. It is the alcohol. And when I say by that, it tastes like bitter cigarette butt water. Uh it is a joke. It is advertised as a joke, and it is so fun to share with people. If you're if you're with like a tipsy guy and you're like, hey, you want to have a shot, man? They're gonna agree. And I know I do. Just to make them throw up. Uh it makes me throw up. Yeah, I've thrown off off Malort. I've had a half I've had half a cup of uh half of a red solo cup filled with Malort that I was at a I was at a furry party a little while ago, and this is not recent. But when I was there, I was very tipsy, and I brought the Melort bottle. He poured me half a red solo cup of it, and I drank most of it. I think I went to go puke, and I'm pretty sure I recame back.

Dude, I've I I I can't get behind the workflow of it. It's a great job, and I love the people I was working with, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity that I got to work there, and I learned a lot, but it's just it was the kind of sitting around waiting to do things that kind of deterred me and didn't really make me feel motivated in any in like a way, if that makes sense. And like sure, I would be doing like busy work, like laundry and cleaning and all these little things like checking inventory and whatever. But I mean I don't know, I just don't think it was for me anymore. So um I applied to a warehouse job and we'll see how that goes.

We can get into the warehouse shop because I I have uh I have some experience in the warehouse, but did you have like did you have good coworkers? Because that's one thing I don't have at my job is I don't get to have that coworker interaction.

I had really good coworkers. I I told I told one of my my lead co-workers, then she she was in a lead position. I was like, hey, yeah, unfortunately I'm not coming back. Um it's I'm just kind of struggling mentally, and uh I don't think working here is like really good for me in this time. And she was like, Yeah, no, I understand that, but don't act like we're gonna not talk to you. We're still gonna poke you and ask you to hang out. So I thought that was really sweet and I really enjoy uh or I look forward to seeing them in the future. Damn.

I've done uh picking. I've been a a picker for Aldi's. Um we used to use uh tuggers, is what we used, and we would put put a little pallet, it's like a big anyone who doesn't know what a tugger is, it's um a big rideable pallet jack, pretty much. Um we would just pick items, we'd get orders on our headsets, we'd pick items based off the orders and build pallets. I don't know, anywhere from like three feet to five feet high. Five feet was really pushing it though. It's maybe like two to four feet high. Uh wrap them in the good old plastic wrappy and get the and though, and then those get sent off to the trucks. We did those. I'm not gonna lie. I kind of miss it quite a bit because it was um that sounds chill.

Yeah, and the luxury there was semi-consistent outtimes. I used to get so upset when our outtime would go up by like a half an hour, and then I realized there was a luxury of that because I actually had a somewhat consistent outtime. But like just being able to just listen to orders, get into the zone, do that. Like, I I still had a coworker experience, but it wasn't enough where they would distract me or like upset me or drama or anything. It was just like, hey, let's have catch conversations, we gotta get to our orders. I really enjoyed that. Plus, they provided lunch, so I could always get like a protein bar for free. That was always nice. It was aldies. Um it was a really nice experience just because it was like, here's what you do, go do it. And you could get in the zone, it felt distracting enough. It was terrible when your whole palate fell over and glass and everything fell and broke and it was a little stressful because you had to be quick, but the luxury of that compared to where I'm at now was very nice. Now, granted, I think there at the time I was getting paid $18 USD, but that's also because I chose to work Monday through Friday. If you picked up like weekend shifts and whatever, you get paid like an extra two or three dollars. Like it was a pretty okay job for what it was. Yeah, I kind of miss it. I'm not gonna lie. So if Aldi's ever comes up, I I recommend uh applying there if uh the if this job you're looking at doesn't go through. Okay. It really isn't bad. Get you in the zone, you kind of do what you need and just do it. Um, they have they have music on, so yeah.

You cannot because you use machinery that could break. That makes sense. So fortunately, no, which did suck. But it makes it yeah, it makes sense. Now, when you have to go to the freezer section and you weren't planning to, those days suck so bad. Every morning meeting be like, all right, uh Adobe, you're going to the cooler today? It's like a cooler. It's like 30 degrees in there. It's horrible. Holy shit. Oh, yeah, I know. It was oh that's the freezer. The cooler was 40 something. I don't know, it was cold. So those are a little more miserable. But like it had its flow to it. It's kind of boring. I don't know. It's just god, we're so old. Look at us talking about jobs.

Tiny little things. Um I hung out with my boy River this week uh this week, this uh past um when was it? Monday. We went to Dunlop and we hit some jumps. Um I brought the BMX out there and that was my first time on the on the dirt jumps with the BMX, and it was so weird because it's such a tiny little bike, and um it's just it's weird to to be hitting those bigger jumps on that tiny little thing.

This week I haven't because work is still I wanna I'm nauseous because of how bad it is. But um I mean I've been doing a lot of putting because my shoulder injury is still prominent, so I can only do so much with like using that muscle, but I'm allowed to putt. And if anyone doesn't know what putting, it's not throwing a disc air frizz, but you're kind of pushing it forward rather than like trying to throw it a long distance. Um I do it about 30 feet roughly from the basket. So that's been really fun. What is okay, one hobby you would pick up if you had the time for.

But first, I want to say that I've been enjoying the podcast, definitely my new favorite as of like a month and a half ago, when I began catching up from episode one. Good buddy and uh now newly evolved Aeon shared you guys with me during our road trip to MFF. That's really fun. I guess I took my sweet time getting around to listening on my own. We appreciate you. This week's hobby is drawing. I do 2D digital art, and lately I've been experimenting with my own art style. So so far, no particular reason other than my own curiosity. What kinds of art styles are your favorite? It's a question for us.

I don't really know like the difference of art styles, if I'm Do you want me to fire a few out at you in case you're familiar with any styles? Sure. So we can go along the conversation of realism and like cartoonism and stuff like that. If you want to go through specific mediums, which is what I like to delve into, like some of my favorites are charcoal or uh pointillism slash like pen art. Um, but there's obviously stuff like oil paintings and like acrylic, and then you go down to like oil or acrylic paintings or watercolor. Those are all like different styles. Talking about furry specifically, like so there's realism, there's a cartoony aspect of stuff. Um, and then there's different shading styles, like uh there's stealth shading versus like like just like soft tone shading or just all it's just like hyper-realism, depending on which Okay, Adobe, please put some like fucking idiot music over this because it's so fucking boring and nerdy. Um I like charcoal and pen styles a lot, and I love when people experiment with that in terms of like other colors when people splash like watercolor into pen drawings. Those are some of my favorites. I just don't see mine.

I just appreciate anybody that's able to pick up a fucking pen or pencil and draw some shit on the paper. On a piece of paper, like I'm blown away because I I I just don't have an artistic bone in my body. And it it sucks and it makes me sad, but whenever I see other people pick up a pen or pencil and watch it come to life, it's pretty cool.

Following this pen mill, uh W also says, or W specifically, your favorite art style to draw versus your favorite tooth. Ooh, okay. So I kinda already gave it away. I didn't read this forehead, was I really like pen uh art styles. I really like using uh traditional pen, just a simple pen too, this is nothing fancy, it's just a ballpoint pen and doing scribble art with it, where you just scribble a bunch and then you just end up making certain areas more dense to then create shading or the uh the illusion of light versus uh dark areas. God, I love those. I used to do those back in high school, so that's probably some of my favorite. Um, but my favorite to draw, because I don't always enjoy doing that. My favorite to draw, even though I don't draw much anymore, I like to just stick with 2D digital art, typically down, I don't draw how much I just like the cartoon line art and flat colors. I like the simplicity behind it while also seeing what I can make my brain pump out. Um I do like a sketchy style. It's maybe just like sketching a little bit and throw some color on the 2D digital art surface usually my code.

She's been telling me she wants a boat for the about the past month now. And it's ever since we went on that fishing trip to Lake Tex Lake Tectoma. And we're planning a fishing trip to go back out there and And in like the middle of next month, and I'm so excited because we're gonna catch so many fish and we're gonna eat all the fish and we're gonna drink and smoke a bunch of weed and have a good time. And I wish you were there because it would be really, really fun.

I never told you the story. What river? I don't know, but it was a so I say river. The Allegheny. I would say it's as wide as the Allegheny River, I guess for reference. Holy shit. Maybe a little uh it's I was but I would still say it's in some of the narrow parts. And this wasn't a big river, but it was big enough. So it was a big weather. What it was on the big weather. I was out with my boyfriend at the time and then uh our friend. We were, I think, at a campground, we were going somewhere to go hike and walk around for a little bit, and we come to this body of water. And I don't remember how the conversation came up, but I remember us talking about the rock that we saw on the other end. And they're like, man, that rock's pretty far away. I don't know how the conversation came up. This is this is me trying to sum up the story because I remember telling them in my manly confidence tone, oh, well, you fellow, but peasants, that rock can't be that far away at all. I say, and we pretty much go back and forth. I'm like, I feel like I can swim to that rock. I stood corrected because I swam about a third of the way through the river with the current. Trying to, I was fighting the current while still trying to cross the river. It was deep, like very deep. I don't know how deep it went. And then my vivid imagination decided to freak me the fuck out and convince me that there is a large fish around me. I know there wasn't, but just how my brain functions. And I am so exhausted, and I'm having to swim back. So it's not very involved, but just me trying to cross a river by swimming it, not a good idea because you can't do that. That's why there are kayaks and boats. You cannot cross it. How far it was, I don't know. I I don't know. I wouldn't say it was the biggest river in the world, but I exhausted myself when I swam less than half of it. So if that gives you any indication, that swim back was miserable and very scary.

And he's like, You missed some and I was like, Oh, so that's how this is gonna go.

There were like 390 something pieces of little trash particles. And for that, I had to do with my friends that helped me, um, we had to do 390-something push-ups collectively afterwards as a punishment.
